Audio Recorders and GPS
An AUDIO RECORDER picks up sound signals via a microphone and converts them into a stream of discrete numbers, representing the changes over time in air pressure for audio, then recorded to a storage device. To play back a digital sound recording, the numbers are retrieved and converted back into their original analog waveforms so that they can be heard through a loudspeaker. Our audio recorders are compact for discrete use.
GPS (Global Positioning System), originally Navstar GPS, is a space-based radio navigation system owned by the United States government and operated by the United States Air Force. It is a global navigation satellite system that provides geo-location and time information to a GPS receiver anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites.
